Almanac North made it's debut
on PBS eight in
September of 1992. Hosts Julie Zenner and
Darren Danielson interview the region's
newsmakers every Friday night. Julie has
been co-host of Almanac North
since 1993, coming to the job with a solid
news background in producing and reporting.
Darren joined the Almanac North
team in the Fall of 1997, bringing with him
more than 15-years of broadcast experience.
Behind the scenes, producer Greg Grell is
responsible for the content of each show and
tackles the task of lining up guests and
writing the scripts each week. Greg has been
in the news business for over 20 years, and
was hired by PBS eight
in the summer of 1992 to create
Almanac North. Director Nick
Clingman is responsible for the on-air look
of Almanac North
and has been directing newscasts, designing
and lighting studio sets, and editing
videotape since the mid-90's.
Since the initial broadcasts in 1992,
Almanac North has
gained a reputation as the place to find
in-depth information and discussion on some
of the most important and interesting news
stories of the week. So if you want the
latest information, direct from the mouths
of the "newsmakers", be sure to watch
Almanac North live
Friday night at 8, or catch a repeat
broadcast Sunday afternoon at 4:30.
